A Guide to Cutting

Here is a procedure for cutting tickets so you end up with the tickets sorted. In this example, we are printing 4 rows and 2 columns of tickets on each sheet.

• Place your batch of tickets face down
• Take N sheets, where N is the number of sheets you specified you would be cutting at once
• Turn the sheets over so you can the see the printed side
• Trim the blank areas at the top and bottom
• Cut them down the middle
• Cut tickets from the highest downwards, so you create a pile of tickets next to the cutter
• You should have a sort pile of (N*8) tickets
• Put this pile to one side face up
• Repeat for the next N sheets until you reach the bottom of the pile. Each time add the (N*8) tickets to your pile
